She was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church.
Her family includes sisters Sister Blanche Forcier and Cecile Venchiarutti, both of Canada, and Jeanne Roux of Manchester; nephews and nieces.

Frank E. Lewis, 68, of 237 Thomas, lifelong St. Paul resident, died Saturday. He had been a barber in the Pioneer bldg. more than 30 years.
For many years Mr. Lewis was active in Boy Scout and Sea Scout activities and the Men's club of St. Vincent's church.
Survivors include his wife, Clara: a son, Frank E. Jr. and three grandchildren. Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Vincent's Catholic church,, Virginia and Blair, with

Rose (McDevitt), age 87 on Dec. 17, at St. Joseph Hospice, in the arms of her Lord, following a stroke. Rose will be fondly remembered for her spontaneous charm that enveloped everyone she touched, from her school days at St. Joseph Academy to her new friends at Rose Pointe, where she and her husband of 65 years resided since 1994. Rose worked in the LeVasseur Grocery in White Bear Lake, the arms plant in New Brighton, for the superintendent of schools in White Bear Lake, and at the Legal Ledger in St. Paul until moving to Port Charlotte, FL in 1970. Rose saw her Creator in all things, the sparking waters, the trees, the brilliant stars, sunsets and the friendly moon. She knew that life is fragile but made each day a prayer. Her Irish heritage was her joy and her Catholic faith her staff. Preceding her in Heaven are her parents, Neil McDevitt and Anna Koller, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. She bequeaths her love to husband, Lawrence Proper; daughters, Nancy Chisholm (Thomas), and Karen Merth (George), grandchildren, Dan, Monica, Joseph, Catherine, Suzanne, Margo, Thomas, Anne, Patrick, Clara, Christopher, Molly and 19 great-grandchildren, brother, James, sisters, Ann, Helen and Eileen, many nieces and nephews and innumerable friends. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 2040 No. Hamline, Roseville, Saturday, Dec 20 at 10 AM. Memorials preferred to St. Rose Children’s Choir.
