Community Overview
Sleepy Hollow is a village of about 3300 47 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. Exclusively residential, it maintains a rural atmosphere through such means as lack of sidewalks or curbs. Schoolchildren attend District 300 schools. (See below for details on schools).
Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-90), and major local roads (I-31, Randall Road). Commuter service to downtown is provided by the Metra Milwaukee West Line (MD-W) in Elgin.
