Community Overview
Romeoville is a village of about 15,000 32 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. The town has a mix of commercial, industrial, and residential development. Recreational Opportunities include the facilities of the Recreation Center, programs of neighboring Bolingbrook's Park District, several parks, hiking trails and fishing lakes. School children attend unit district 365, a K-12th. grade district serving Romeoville and Bolingbrook. Two nonpublic schools, one Catholic (K-8) and one Baptist (K-12th) are located in Romeoville.
Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-55), and major local roads (I-53). Commuter service to downtown is provided by Metra's Norfolk & Western Line and by Amtrak in nearby Summit.
