Norridge Community Guide
Community Overview
Norridge is a village of about 15,000 12 miles west of downtown Chicago. The town has a large retail district including Norridge Commons and the Harlem-Irving Plaza. Recreational opportunities include the programs of the Norridge Park District. Most grade school-aged children attend District 80 schools, while the rest go to those of Districts 79 and 86. Secondary students attend Ridgewood High school, District 234. See below for details on schools).
Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-90/Kennedy Expwy.), and major local roads (Irving Park Rd., Lawrence Ave.). Commuter service to downtown is provided by the CTA's O'Hare Line at Harlem or Cumberland Avenues. Travel time to the downtown Chicago station is about 35 minutes.
