Norridge is a village of about 15,000 12 miles west of downtown Chicago. The town has a large retail district including Norridge Commons and the Harlem-Irving Plaza. Recreational opportunities include the programs of the Norridge Park District. Most grade school-aged children attend District 80 schools, while the rest go to those of Districts 79 and 86. Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-90/Kennedy Expwy.), and major local roads (Irving Park Rd., Lawrence Ave.).
