Hanover Park Community Guide
Community Overview
Hanover Park is a village of about 33,000 30 miles west of downtown Chicago. While mainly residential (with ongoing development on the south side of town) efforts are being made for industrial and commercial development. Hanover Park has an active Park District and four school districts (including the state's two largest after the City of Chicago - Districts 54 & U-46) serve the town's grade school-aged residents. Secondary students attend Glenbard North (district 87) in Carol Stream or Lake Park High (district 108) in Roselle. *See below for details on schools.
Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-90-Northwest Tollway, I-290, Elgin-O-Hare Expressway), and major local roads (North Ave., County Farm Road). Commuter service to downtown is provided by the Metra Milwaukee West Line (MD-W). Travel time to the downtown Chicago station is about 53 minutes (express). Local bus service is available from PACE. The RTA Travel Info. Number is 1-800-972-7000.
