Community Overview
Addison is a village of about 32,000 20 miles west of downtown Chicago. The town has an active Park District program. The town has a variety of manufacturing, warehousing and distribution companies. Grade schoolchildren attend district 4 schools, while secondary students are served by district 88. (See below for details on schools).
Transportation needs are served by area highways ((Eisenhower Expwy. - I-290, Tri-State (I-294), North/South Tollway (I-355), East-West Tollway (I-88)) and major local roads (Lake St, North Ave. Rt. 53/Rohlwing Rd., and Army Trail Rd.). Commuter service to downtown is provided by Metra at the Wood Dale station of the Milwaukee District Western (MD-W) line. Travel time to the downtown Chicago station is about 35-45 minutes.
