Our Family History

My name is Carol Hepburn and I am an amateur genealogist and the historian for our family. I have always loved history and have enjoyed learning about our early American ancestry. My heart has always been a bit "country" and I have always enjoyed sharing family folklore, creating traditional arts and crafts, and preserving old-fashioned homekeeping values.

I began researching our family history nearly one year ago in an effort to ensure that future generations of our family wouldn't lose the special stories, old photographs, and simple history associated with many of my ancestors. I wanted to make sure that my children have the same opportunity to share in our family history as I did as a child.

I have been truly blessed to have found so much of my family lineage so quickly. Many of my fellow genealogists have been researching their families for years and often find very little concrete data to help them understand where their ancestors came from. I have also had great opportunites via the internet to meet friendly, open, and kind researchers who were willing share their hard-earned data with me. I appreciate their generosity and without their help I would still be trying to find my big "break"!

This family page was designed primarily as a way for our family to communicate with one another and to share collected family memories, mementos and our wonderful family history. We also wish to share our family history with other researchers and hopefully we might just meet some new cousins via the online internet community.
