James Guthrie & Archibald Simpson To George Maxwell
Registered March 9th 1808.

This indenture made this 27th day of May in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred between James Guthrie of the County of Greene and Archibald Simpson of the County of Hawkins both of the State of Tennessee of the one part and George Maxwell of the other part witnesseth that the said Jas. Guthrie & A. Simpson for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to us in hand hold the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge hath and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and in issue of and confirm unto the said George Maxwell his heirs and assigns for ever a certain tract or parcel of land containing two hundred acres be the same more or less lying and being in the County of Hawkins and adjoining the place where said Simpson now lives and on a branch or draine of Rice's Creek and beginning near said creek on the east side on a spanish oak and post oak near a path moving south fifty east thirty six poles to a white oak then south thirty east one hundred twenty poles to two white oaks then north thirty east two hundred and twenty poles to a stake then south thirty five west one hundred and eighty poles to a stake and from thence to the beginning. With all and singular the appurtenances whatsoever to the said tract of land belonging or appertaining and the reserion and riversions rents and issues thereof and all the estate right little interest property claim and demand of them the said James Guthrie and A. Simpson their heirs or assigns of in and to the same and every part or parcel thereof either in laco or equity to have and to hold the said two hundred acres of land with the appurtenances thereof unto the said George Maxwell his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful tittles and claim of every person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents in witness whereof the said James Guthrie and Archibald Simpson hath hereunto assined their hands and seals the day and year above written.

This indenture made this fourteenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety five between Robert Stevenson of the County of Woodford and the State of Kentucky of the one part and James Guthrey of the County of Greene and Territory of the United States South of the River Ohio of the other part Witnesseth that the said Robert Stevenson of the said Woodford County of Kentucky for and in condideration of the sum of two hundred pounds to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hat and by these presents doth grant bargain sell a lien infee off and confirm unto the said James Guthrey his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing three hundred acres be the same more or less lying and being and being in the County of Greene on Lick Creek including his improvement beginning on a white oak on a conditional line between said Robert Stevenson and Charles Hays running 20 west eighty eight chains to a stake thence north forty seven east thirty three chains thence south fifty eight east thirty chains to a stake in a conditional line between said Stevenson and James Ashmore then south ten east twenty three chains to a spanish oak on the bank of lick creek thence down the crown including the meanders to the biginning. With all and singular the woods waters , water sources proffits commodities hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the said tract of land belonging or appertaining and reversion and reversing remainder and remainders rents and issues thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim and demands of him the said Robert Stevenson his heirs be of in and to the same and every part and parcel thereof either in law or equity to have and to hold the aforesaid three hundred acres of land with the appertenances with the said James Guthrey his heirs and assigns forever against the lawfull title claim and demand of all and every person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents in witness whereof the said Robert Stevenson hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written.

This Indenture made this thirteenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety six between James Ashmore of the county of Greene and State of Tennessee south of Ohio of the one part and James Guthrie of the County and state aforesaid Witnesseth that the said Ashmore for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and forty five pounds to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath and by those presents doth grant bargain sell alien enferoff and confirm unto the said Guthrie or his assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing two hundred and thirty acres lying and being in the county of Greene on lick creek on the south side known by the rounabout bottom beginning at an ash on the bank of the creek south 14 & forty two poles to a stake thence S 69 W 95 poles to an elm on the bank of said creek thence up the meanders of the creek to the beginning with all singular the woods waters water sounces proffits commodities hereditaments and appertenances whatsoever to said lnad belonging or appertaining and all the rents and issues thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim and demands of him the said Ashmore his heirs and assigns to have and to hold the said two hundred and thirty acres of land with the appertenances to the said Guthrie or his assigns forever against the lawfull title claom and demand of all and every person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof the said James Ashmore hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written.
