Cartmill to Ralls & Jameson

This indenture made this twenty-fourth day of August in the year of our Lord, Eighteen hundred and eleven between Wm. Cartmill and Issa, his wife, of the County of Bath & State of Kentucky of the one part & Hobren Ralls & James Jameson of the County & State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Wm Cartmill and Issa, his wife, for and consideration of the sum of one hundred in cash & two hundred cattle at cash rates, the cattle to be under seven years old, to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged & they them selves fully satisfied there with hath bargained & sold & by these presents doth bargain, sell & confirm to the said Ralls & Jameson & there heirs & assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the County of Bath on the waters of Prickley Ash, being part of a survey of 500 acres patented for Willis Green, containing by survey one hundred acres & being adjoining lands of Robert Crockett followeth, To Wit: Beginning at two beech trees on the old line & runing with said line North 1 degrees West one hundred and thirty six poles to a sugar & hickory thence South one hundred and seventeen poles 1/2 to an elm & ash at a drain thence 5 degrees East one hundred and thirty-six poles to an ash and beach thence north one hundred & seventeen & a half poles to the beginning together with all its rights appertanances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with all its rights & appertanances and they the said Wm & Issa, his wife, do for themselves and there------------------or person claiming and right there unto by virtue of Greens rights & also to pay back with lawful interest to the value of the received cash and property as above mentioned, if the said lands should be taken by and prior claims in Witness where of we have here unto set our hand and fixed our hands and seals the day & date above written.
