(all entries I came across so far had Bath, so I did not
include this on following listings)

- white males above 21
- white males above 16 & under 21 (only on 1811 tax form)
- total blacks
there was other info I didn't get, such as number of horses,
no. of blacks under 16, total value of taxable items
there was also following entries for the land:
in whose name
- entered
- surveyed
- patented
I did not include this on following lists, although I did
transcribe it (not enough room on page to include this)
Also, the number of acres was listed under one of three columns -
1st rate, 2nd rate or 3rd rate. I did not try to show that on
the following pages.

No Donaldsons
Starting in 1813 tax lists, people were listed in groups under
one of two regiments and a company name (each regiment had a
number of companies). I don't know how they were organized - if
each company in a regiment consisted of people all living within
the same area or if some other system was used.
I don't know if this started due to the war of 1812 or if this
was some kind of local protection group against the Indians or if
it was something else entirely. I do remember seeing a book
about the "Cornstalk Militia" in early KY - this may have
something to do with that.
This system was still being used in 1819, 4 years after the war
of 1812 ended (I stopped after the 1819 tax books)
