My line is: John B.> Wm W> John> Henry SR

My gggf was William Cartmill, b. in VA
about 1779, moved to Bath Co. KY about 1788, and moved to central OH in
1812, and we've been here ever since. His father was Thomas ( of whom
there are many in the Cartmill/Cartmell clan ), b. about 1750 in VA. We
still haven't proven for sure who Thomas belonged to. We think maybe one of
the John's although he could be a child of Nathaniel I. I have been trying
to rough out the early Cartmill/CArtmell's in lines of descendancy from
Nathaniel of England, who arrived in PA about 1685 on down. It just gets a
little muddled in the late 1700's what with the use of similar given names
and the procreation of a lot of kids. Back that far I have relied mostly
on the Cartmell Pioneers, CCC Quarterly, Shenandoah Valley Pioneers, and
other researchers.
From this book: there are no Nathaniel's and a few Thomas's.
