~~Canada's New Outdoor Adventure~~
It will take you into wetlands and hardwood groves, through quaint villages and along sparkling rivers, teeming with fish--it's no wonder the Confederation Trail is being called Canada's New Outdoor Adventure.
With two major sections already completed and several smaller portions in place, the Prince Edward Island leg of the Trans Canada Trail is ready to welcome hikers, cyclists, runners, snowmobilers and even horses, but we're hoping you don't simply pass through.

The trail offers unlimited opportunities for nature lovers, artists, historians, photographers, berry pickers, birders and anyone looking for a nice quiet place to spread a blanket for an afternoon picnic.
When the builders of the PEI laid the final tracks in 1875 they never dreamed the coridors they carved through the Island landscape would one day become prime recreational property.
Although activity on the Confederation Trail is limited to walkers and hikers, wheelchairs, cyclists and runners in the summertime, and snowmobiles in the winter, there are now two parallel equestrian trails in the western end of the Island. The Summerside to Travellers Rest section is 4.2km, while the O'Leary to Coleman run is 5.1km.
