The above picture is of the Hopewell Rocks at low tide. The highest tides in the world. One hundred billion tons of swirling, rolling seawater. Twice daily, a tide equal to the flow of all the rivers in the world makes its way up the Bay of Fundy. Twice daily, it recedes. At low tide, in the Tidal Experience Eco-Zone, you can walk on the exposed ocean floor. At high tide, just six hours later, your footprints would be covered by the sea, in some places up to 48 feel deep. These are the tides for which New Brunswick's Bay of Fundy is famous. The Bay inhales. The Bay exhales. It will take your breath away.
