We go to the Word of God for comfort, and when we do, the words pierce like a scalpel, cutting and healing. The Word of God cuts to the very place where attitudes and thoughts come together, at the junction of spirit and soul, providing a healing that can be obtained in no other way on earth.
The Bible was given to us as a vehicle to carry us so that we might be able to see Jesus Christ.
If you want to grow in the Word of God, become a person with a chisel and quarry the Word, look ,seek, explore. Let the Word become your Word, and you will grow.
I pray that you would rediscover the Bible in your own life, to regain the same hunger and enthusiasm you felt when you first heard the name of Jesus!
