Cut four - 2 7/8 x 2 7/8 in squares - cut again diagonally to create 8 half-sq triangles
From dark green fabric, cut the following:
Cut eight - 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 in squares
Cut four - 2 7/8 x 2 7/8 in squares - cut again diagonally to create 8 half-sq triangles
From background fabric (very light green or white-on-white), cut the following:
Cut four - 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 in squares
Cut eight - 2 7/8 x 2 7/8 in squares - cut again diagonally to create 16 half-sq triangles
Working with the 2 1/2" squares (cut again diagonally), sew the background fabric to the medium green and dark green triangles. Press seams towards darker fabric.
You should have 8 squares with background/medium green and 8 squares with background/dark green.
