The Chilhowie United Methodist Church has a 100+
year history of ministers that have served the church. Many of these ministers
are now dead, some serve other congregations, and some are retired. We
feel that support of our ministers does not end when they leave the ministry
and move into retirement. Therefore, we support the Pensions Fund for Ministers
with service prior to 1982 by giving to the Second Mile Pension Fund each
year.
