Our Music Ministry

At Chilhowie UMC we are pleased to have an active and vital music minstry.

The Chilhowie UMC Chancel Choir is made up of twenty five members:

7 sopranos
5 altos
6 tenors and
5 basses
our organist and our director.

Many members have been in the choir for ten years of more, some as long as twenty five to thirty years.

The choir rehearses Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and sings at worship services, funerals, and weddings. The choir generally performs a Christmas and Lenten or Eater Cantata each year.

The Church also has a Children's Choir with eleven youth from grades three to seven. The Children's choir practices at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings and generally sings a "Call to Worship" at our morning worship services.
