Julie's Hobbies and Interests
It may be somewhat obvious to some that I share
certain passions in life, passions for my children, my writing,
my realtionships with others, as well as the need to have an overall Purpose for Living,
but I also have some activities that accentuate these very Passions!
I decided I did not want my children living life as a spectator!
What better way than example to teach them?! So please read on about what I like
to do above all else!
I started skating in September.
Kathie and I headed to the rink
for our first lesson! I thought I was doing great!
So great, in fact, I wanted to show my teacher!
Just as she was helping me with my posture, KERPLUNK!
Down I went! I didn't know it at the time,
but I broke my arm! Most importantly,
as soon as I got my bright fuschia cast off,
I was back down at the rink!
I have been singing even longer than I have been writing!
I probably sang in utero!
Right down the street from us is
Shakey's Pizza! This Fall, they started having Karaoke every
Tuesday! What a great way for the family
to have fun together! "Kathie and Mommy" became a favorite act! I will
always remember when Bianca dared me to sing "Like a Virgin.
Actually, Madonna is among my favorites to sing!
This is another activity I always have enjoyed
but put on the back burner and allowed spectating to
become a way of life!
NO MORE! I still prefer the free style dancing to R&B, Classic Rock,
and "Old School" (especially 80's Music) but I would like to learn to Swing Dance!
