Marlena was a long awaited, much loved, much prayed for Baby. This will be her place here on the web......to remember her by forever. Marlena Sarah Scott February 9, 1990 |

We do not have anyplace
to "visit" our little girl, except for at Forest Lawn,
the cemetary where she is buried. While I used to think
it was strange for people to spend time at cemetaries,
I now find it comforting to do so.
The picture with Ken was taken when Kathie
was less than a year old, we always have enjoyed taking
her to visit her "sister" and she fully
participates in arranging flowers, getting water
and cleaning the area around the headstone.
She reminds us how important these rituals are.
The picture with me and Kathie was
taken around mother's day, 1997.
I am pregnant with Emma in this picture,
and using Kathie as my SHIELD
! She is awfully cute and good at it, too, isn't she?
When Emma was born,
she was brought immediately into
the routine of visiting Marlena.
In fact, she loves running down
the hill to Babyland, where the babies are buried
at Forest Lawn. Sometimes she trips any number of
times on her way to see her "Big Sister".
I am thankful my children have
had the opportunity to face the grief process straight on....we talk about it openly and honestly.
Without fear.
