Once upon a time there was a nice little girl named Ruth, she was a pretty girl with long blond hair down to her waste in just rolls and rolls of ringlet curls..now Ruth was adopted from a little baby since her mommy and daddy wanted Jesus to give them someone so precious..and one day Ruth was sent to them through the adoption agency..
Ruth's mommy and daddy were so happy and promised all there life they would love and protect Ruth but above all raise her to love Jesus..
Being an only child in some ways did have it's advantages..she got all the nice presents for Christmas and did not have to share them with a bigger brother or maybe a younger sister..and too..she could do things that other children did not have a chance to do like go to Disney Land..and see all the wonderful disney characters..since here daddy was part owner of some of the Disney Properties..Oh it was nice being mommy and daddy's precious little girl..
Everyone loved Ruth..she was a good girl and always did listen to her family..and would try and help mommy when she could..she always was cleaning up her room just to make sure that her mommy would not have to pick up after her..and she liked her room all neat and everything in place..
But she also wished for a brother or sister as she got older..but mommy had explained she was the precious one and they were so happy just to have her..and Ruth knew that there would never be a new brother or sister..ever..
Several years went by and Ruth was eight years old..and although she liked to go places and play with her friends it was not like having a close sister to talk to or even a brother to complain too.
Her family and Ruth were going to move to another town..her daddy had the same job but sometimes he had to go where his work sent him..so she was going to have a new bedroom and her mommy said she could pick the colors for her room..and she could choose what kind of new bed she would like..well she thought and thought and decided that she wanted all the soft fluffy white and pink colors..with a touch of lavender and a bench in her bedroom so she could sit on her bench and read or color in her collection of coloring books..it had to be a small shorter bench..but her daddy did promise he would have one made for her..
Ruth was so pleased with her new ideas on her bedroom that she did not think of a brother or sister..she had so much to pack and be ready for the movers by the weekend. She did not want to forget a thing..and had all her pretty clothes..dolls and games all packed up to be the first thing to go in the big huge truck to their new home..
Today her daddy was leaving to meet the truck at their new home..and within a week she would be in her new bedroom.The days went by fast and tomorrow she and her mommy would be leaving for their home..
Arriving at the new house Ruth saw such a beautiful home like an old Southern Plantation Home..only the new styles..she was so pleased to see her room..it was a dream come true..as she had wanted..the nice colors..and the sheer curtains blowing in the breeze of the day..Oh Ruth was so happy..and as her daddy had promised there was the white bench she wanted so much in her room..
This was wonderful..and Ruth ran around the room looking at everything..and out the windows to see the nice manicured lawn..she would have a grand time here..
The day had been long and Ruth was getting tired..and going to her room to go to bed when she opened the door and turned on the light..there on her little white and pale pink bench with lavender flowers was a tiny Angel sleeping..
She did not know what to do or say to the Angel..and she was afraid she would go away so ever so quietly she slipped into bed and pulled the covers up tightly around her little shoulders..
Waking early in the morning she looked in the direction of where her little Angel had slept..and seeing she was still there..she tip toed to get her bathrobe and go eat breakfast..when she turned around the little Angel was looking at her with such a nice smile..saying" I got lost trying to find my way" May I stay here until the bigger Angels find me".. "Yes" said Ruth with a smile..and knowing she had to go to breakfast she and the little Angel went into her closet and found a smaller dress for the little Angel to ware..and a nice spring dress for her..
When Ruth and the little Angel went into the kitchen..Ruth's mommy turned around in surprise to see the little Angel with Ruth..now Ruth had to tell her mommy what was going on..and when she was finished trying to explain..the little Angel said "I don't know how to get back to my home..and if it would be alright can I stay here with you" Well of course Ruth's mommy said it would be..and in talking Ruth showed her mommy the little wings on the Angles back..well this was just wonderful..the most fantastic thing that could ever happen to Ruth and her family..and to this day the little Angel is still with Ruth and her family..Ruth has her little Angle who is her best friend and they are just like sisters..magical things do happen with you wish hard enough..
