HI! I love having a "namesake" who's doing such beautiful work on "our" family!!! I am excited to look into my great-grandfather's migration from Pa. to where my family was settled. And plan to share this with my cousin "Linda" in Houston. All told we ave 23 "Vanderhoof cousins", descended from just one grandfather here in Missouri.

My great grandfather was Henry Cock Vanderhoef, who married Mary Alice Hicks. The Hicks were from Flushing NY and my ggrandparents died in Staten Island, where my mother was born to Marjorie Vanderhoef Gale. I cannot find much about my alleged Great Grea Grandfather John Van Emberg Vanderhoef, who served in the War of 1812.
