"Jewel" joined our household in late September of 1997. She took my breath away the first time I saw her at 10 weeks of age, and I feel extremely fortunate that Daniel was willing to let her come live with me. Her exquisite outline combined with ground covering side gait and perfect soundness on the down and back make a truly eye catching picture. Jewel began her show career with a flourish, accumulating a Best Opposite in Sweeps (to her littermate, "Strike") at her first show (the Palm Springs /Hound Specialty weekend) and several points from the 6-9 puppy class. She is currently taking a break to mature and be a couch potato, but we will bring her out at selected shows in 1999.
