THROW OUT THE LAW?

IS THERE "NO MORE LAW" AFTER WE ARE SAVED?

Should we all just "throw it out" or read the Moral Law as some sort of "bygone Jewish set of Rules" that have no place in the New Covenant whatsoever?

This is a fair question, as some do preach that the Law is now completely done away or "abrogated", and we need not pay the slightest bit of attention to it any more once we are Saved.[1]

They usually quote this portion of a verse:

You are not under the Law, you are under Grace.

Let us examine this whole verse closely, in context, and compare it with other Scripture on the subject. Here is what the whole verse says:

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Romans 6:14

Let us turn to Galatians 5 where the Apostle Paul explains this in more detail.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no Law. Galatians 5:22,23

Paul is communicating to us here the Virtues which, when Produced, have no Law against them! The Virtues have no Law which condemns them! They are not sin!

Paul never said there was "no Law any more", but that in following the Virtues, you would be not condemned by the Law. This is what he means by being "under Grace". Following that which is Good. There would therefore be no Law to Judge you simply because you would not be fulfilling sin because:

And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. Galatians 5:24

LYING TEACHERS AND SO-CALLED "PROPHETS" DESPISE WHAT PAUL CALLS GOOD.

What did Paul say about the Law (Torah)? Compare this to what your so-called "teachers" and "prophets" tell you.

Wherefore the Law is Holy, and the Commandment Holy, and Just, and Good. Romans 7:12
