Steve's position as the department's training officer is vital to the organization. In addition to administering state mandated basic requirements, he keeps abreast of new technologies and innovations in the fire service which he passes on to shift personnel either in the form of training or f.y.i.

He has the experience and knowledge necessary to deal with people with diverse cultures due to his nine year stint with the Miami Fire Department, Dade County.

Steve has a B.A. degree in business administration and currently holds the rank of captain.
