        There are currently no job openings at the Corsicana Fire Department. A Civil Service entrance examination is administered bi-annually in order to maintain a perpetually current eligibility list.

        ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

        REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT

        Minimum age - 18 years of age
        Maximum age - Have not reached 36th birthday
        High School diploma or G.E.D. and 25 college hours ("C" average), or completed Basic Firefighter Certification Course recognized by the Texas Commission� on Fire Protection and be a certified Emergency Medical Technician.
        REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION PROCESS
        1. � Fill out pre-employment application with City Personnel Office
        2. � Written Entrance Examination (70% passing)
        3. � Physical Agility Test
        4. � Background Investigation
        5. � Physical (after job offer)

        REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

        1. � Birth Certificate
        2. � Naturalization papers if applicable
        3. � High School diploma or G.E.D.� and College transcript or certificates
        4. � DD 214 (Military release - if applicable)
        5. � Marriage License and /or Divorce Decree
        6. � Signed release for information

        BENEFITS

        • Monthly salary - $2,161.00 beginning, $2,282.00 after 1 year
        • Time and a half overtime pay or compensatory time for extra hours
