MD. Anne died 1710, Worcester Co., MD. Another genealogy gives her name is Ann Burton. John: 2 stories: (1) emigrated to VA 1652/3, settled in Accomack Co, VA, later moved to Worchester Co. MD; (2) sailed with a number of the young men of the district for VA in 1661. The first one of this family name in America. His name was included on a list of 61 people transferred from England to Charles Scarburg of Northampton Co., VA, who on May 10, 1652, was granted 3050 acres in that county.

DE. Thomas died Mar 28, 1753/8, Sussex Co., DE. At this time Somerset Co., MD was part of DE.

Sussex Co., DE Orphan's records indicate that Betsey, David and Burton were orphans 1797. Records encompass 1797-1800 regarding petitions to choose guardians, Reports on valuation of their lands, and Petition to appoint new guardians. Another genealogy says "of Kent Co., DE"
9. v Philip P. Marvel born Nov 30, 1735, Stepney Parish, Wicomico Co. MD, married Comfort Rodney, born 1744, (daughter of William Rodney and Ruth Curtis) died Jan 6, 1801, Sussex Co. DE. Philip died May 4, 1795, Sussex, DE. He was a planter in Delaware, at Dagsboro Hundred. Another genealogy has his father as Robert Marvel m. Rachel. Virdin is a more certain record.
10. vi Robert Marvel born May 15, 1737, Stepney Parish, Somerset, Worcester Co, MD, married c. 1762, in Somerset Co. MD, Rachel Chase, born c. 1737, died Aug 27, 1791, Sussex, DE. Robert died bf. Mar, 1772, Worcester Co. MD. Appears in Sussex Co. DE records in 1754, buying 50 acres of land. Came to Delaware from Worcester Co. MD and are believed to be of Welsh origin.
