3.    Susanna (Susan) Thorne (2.Thomas2, 1.William1) baptized: Mar 5, 1559/60, Yardley Hastings, England, married Jun 8, 1575, in Lidlington, England, Roger Dudley, born c. 1535, London, England, (son of John Dudley and Elizabeth Leighton) died Mar 14, 1590, Battle of Inery, Navarre.  Susanna died Aft. 1588, England.  Roger: Was a captain in Queen Elizabeth's army and was sent to aid Henry of Navarre in establishing his throne.

                      Children:

14.   Thomas Dudley (3.Susanna3, 2.Thomas2, 1.William1) born Oct 12, 1576, Yardley Hastings, England, married (1) Apr 25, 1603, in Hardingstone, England, Dorothy Yorke, born Apr 25, 1582/3, (daughter of Edmund Yorke and Katheryn (?)) died Dec 27, 1643, Roxbury, MA, married (2) Apr 14, 1644, Catherine Hackburn.  Thomas died Jul 31, 1653, Roxbury, MA.  Governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony, serving four terms after emigrating in . 1630.  Was one of the founders of Harvard College.  Arrived on the Arbella - Winthrop Fleet. Dorothy: Came to America in the Winthrop Fleet of 1630.

          18.    i    Samuel Dudley born c. 1610, England, died Feb 10, 1683, Exeter, NH.  Came to America in the Winthrop Fleet of 1630.

          19.    ii    Patience Dudley born England, married Daneil Denison.  Patience died Feb 8, 1690, Ipswich, MA.  Came to America in the Winthrop Fleet of 1630.

          20.    iii   Anne Dudley born c. 1612, England, married c. 1628, Simon Bradstreet, born Mar 1603, Horbling Co., Lincolnshire, England.  Anne died Sep 16, 1671, Andover, MA.  Arrived as part of Winthrop's Fleet, with husband and father. Simon: Part of Winthrop Fleet.

          21.    iv   Sarah Dudley born Jul 12, 1620, England, married Benjamin Keaine.  Sarah died 1659, Roxbury, MA.  Came to America in the Winthrop Fleet of 1630.

          22.    v    Mercy Dudley born Sep 27, 1621, England, married c. 1639, in Newbury, MA, John Woodbridge, born 1613, Stanton, England, (son of John Woodbridge and Sarah Parker) occupation Minister, died Mar 17, 1694/5, Newbury, MA.  Mercy died Jul 1, 1691, Newbury, MA.  Sister of poet Anne (Dudley) Bradstreet. Came to America in the Winthrop Fleet of 1630. John: Wrote the first tract on currency and banking in America. Came to America with his uncle Robert Parker in 1634, ordained at Andover, MA Oct 1645, went to England in 1647, returned Jul 16, 1663 and resided in Newbury, MA.  Cotton Mather tells "he was by nature wonderfully composed, patient and pleasant and he was by grace so much more so.  He had a great command of his passions and could and would and often did forgive injuries at a rate that could hardly be imitated ". Oxford College - England
