She is obviously really Keeney. Another genealogy has her as the daughter of Thomas Keeney and Hannah Soule.

Eli: They resided in Rawson Hollow, NY, which was settled by Lyman Rawson and the Blackman families from Peru, MA. This later became Caroline, Tompkins Co., NY. One genealogy calls her (?) King, probably confusing her with her mother.

Calvin was 3 years old when he arrived in the valley of the West Owego Creek in 1800 after his father returned to MA to bring his family to the new settlement. Annis: AE Jenks statements call her Annis Allen Brown, which conforms to Tioga Genealog. Soc. materials sent us, although they have her father as Abraham Brown (as listed in 1820 Berkshire NY census).

Chloe: Possible Widow White. genealogy says she was the daughter of Lawrence Jenks.

Michael died 1808, Candor, Tioga, NY. Michael, with others, was an owner in the "Boston Purchase" in Owego, NY. He was killed while rafting logs down the Susquehanna River at Jenksville, NY in 1808; foul play was suspected because his body and money were never recovered. He built a sawmill in Jenksville in 1803 and a grist mill in 1814. Sarah: She was called "the first Pioneer Woman of the West Owego Creek Valley.

Built the Jenksville Steam Mill in 1879 for sawing lumber and threshing grain. In the fall of 1882, the steam grist mill was built by Jenks and Nixon (a name found in the Speedsville Cemetery records). Emily: Listed as living with Calvin and husband and son Charles L. in 1855. Orpha: Is probably Louisa O. age 32 in 1865 census. All Tioga Co. records have her as Louisa O.

714. iv Lydia Comstock born Aug 30, 1809, married 1831, Louis Parker Legg, born 1805, MA, (son of David Legg and Lydia Dunbar) died 1897. Lydia died 1884. Louis: Could be the L. P. Legg buried Glen Hope Cemetery, NY. He is probably the Louis P. Legg listed in the 1887/8 Berkshire Directory as a retired farmer.
