Moved to Sackville, NS 1761. Among the names founding the town of Sackville were Charles Olney, Edmund Jenks, John Olney, Ichabod Comstock, and John Dexter. Since this settlement might have been made by Loyalists pending the Revolutionary War (Nathaniel Jenks was such), many of these might have returned (as did one of the Olney family) to move further west after the Revolution.

He was a very tall man and weighed 370 pounds. He moved from Smithfield to Spencer in 1775. Another genealogy gives his wife as Olive Rice.
