2.    Thomas (Pagrave) Palgrave (1.Henry1) born Thruxton, married Alice Gunton, (daughter of Robert Gunton and (?)).

3.    Edward Palgrave (2.Thomas2, 1.Henry1) baptized: Jan 21, 1540/1, occupation Rector, married (?).  Edward died Dec, 1623.  Rector of Barnham Broom, 1567-1623

Fourth Generation

 

4.    Richard Palgrave (3.Edward3, 2.Thomas2, 1.Henry1) born Aug 1599,  Stepney Co, England, occupation Physician, married c.1617, Anna Harris, died Feb 17, 1669, Roxbury, MA.  Richard died Oct. 1651, Charlestown MA.  Descendants of Blood Royal (Count d'Angerville).  He was third of the thirteen first inhabitants of Charlestown, MA in 1629, a member of the First Church of Boston; freeman May 18, 1630.  Came on Winthrop's fleet. Baltzer gives birth date as c. 1585 Anna: Brown Book spells Anne Irving calls her Anna Hooker b. abt 1594 Returned to Stepney, England bf. 1656 but came back to New England where she died

          7.     iii   Elizabeth Palgrave married c. 1651, John Edwards.

          8.     iv   John Palgrave. Came to America in the Winthrop Fleet of 1630.

          9.     v    Anna Palgrave. Came to America in the Winthrop Fleet of 1630.

 

Fifth Generation

 

5.    Mary Palgrave (4.Richard4, 3.Edward3, 2.Thomas2, 1.Henry1) born c. 1619, Wymondham, England, married 1638, Roger Wellington, born Abt 1609, occupation Planter, died March 11, 1698, Watertown, MA.  Mary died Jan 21, 1695, Watertown, MA.  Came to America in the Winthrop Fleet of 1630. Roger: Came to New England in 1630. Brown Book calls him Corporal. Dates corrected from Irving.  John de Wellington was living during the time of William the Conqueror.  His great-grandson, Ralph de Wellington, was at the Seige of Acre.  His son, Sir Ralph de Wellington, married Joan Champernowne, daughter of Sir Willaim Champernowne.  Ralph later assumed that coat of arms with certain modifications. Roger was on the earliest list of proprietors of Watertown, MA; was made freeman 1690. He came to NE in 1630.

          10.    i    Mary Wellington born 1641, married John Coolidge, born 1680, died 1702.

       +11.    ii    Benjamin Wellington born c.1646.

 

6.    Sarah Palgrave (4.Richard4, 3.Edward3, 2.Thomas2, 1.Henry1) married c. 1648, John Alcock, (son of George Alcock and (?) Hooker) occupation Doctor.  Came to America in the Winthrop Fleet of 1630.

                      Children:

          12.    i    Joanna Alcock born 1659, married Ephraim Hunt, born 1650, Weymouth MA, (son of Ephraim Hunt and Anna Richards) died 1713.  Joanna died Mar 20, 1746.

11.   Benjamin Wellington (5.Mary5, 4.Richard4, 3.Edward3, 2.Thomas2, 1.Henry1) born c.1646, Watertown, MA, married Dec 7, 1671, in Watertown, MA, Elizabeth Sweetman, born Jan 6, 1647, Boston MA (Irving-Cambridge MA), (daughter of Thomas Sweetman and Isabel (Isabella) Cutter). Benjamin died Jan 8, 1710, Lexington, MA.

                      Children:

          13.    i    Elizabeth Wellington born Dec 29, 1673, Westborough MA, married Dec 1, 1690, John Fay, born Marlboro MA, died Westborough MA.  Elizabeth died Mar 8, 1729.

          14.    ii    Ruhannah (Ruhamah) Wellington born 1680/1, Watertown MA, married Nov 15, 1699, in Watertown MA, Joseph Brown, born Dec 1, 1677, Marlborough, MA, (son of John Brown and Esther ( Hester) Makepeace) occupation cordwainer, constable, died Jan 11, 1764/6, Lexington MA.  Ruhannah died July 1, 1772, Lexington, MA.  Joseph: Called Deacon Brown

          15.    iii   Mehitable Wellington married William Sherman
