12.   Jacob Smith (2.Patience², 1.Nathaniel¹) born May 3, 1706, RI, married Jan 8, 1725/6, in RI, Dinah Harris, born 1702/7, Providence, Providence, RI, (daughter of Richard Harris and Elizabeth (Lydia) King) died RI.  Jacob died Jul 1, 1797, Smithfield, Providence, RI.

                      Children:

          22.    i    David Smith born Apr 19, 1731, married Mary Jenks, born May 1, 1739, Dartmouth MA, (daughter of John Jenks and Rachel Lawrence) died Feb 1790, Adams, MA.  David died Feb 1, 1816, Seneca, NY.  mentioned in mother's will. After death of his wife, moved to Seneca, NY where the other children had settled.

          23.    ii    Abigail Smith born Jan 11, 1728/9, RI, married in RI, Jeremiah Harris, born Jul 7, 1726, RI, (son of Richard Harris and Lydia Sprague) died 1817, RI.  Abigail died Smithfield, RI.

          24.    iii   Jeremiah Smith born Feb 11, 1733, Smithfield, Providence, RI.

          25.    iv   Patience Smith born Dec 20, 1735, married Thomas Jenks, born July 30, 1737, Dartmouth MA, (son of John Jenks and Rachel Lawrence) died Oct 10, 1811.  Patience died May 6, 1809.

          26.    v    Rufus Smith born Jan 17, 1740/1, Smithfield, Providence, RI.

          27.    vi   Mary (Rhoda) Smith born Sept 30, 1737, Smithfield, Providence, RI, married Sept 11, 1757, in Smithfield RI, Jesse Jenks, born Jan 22, 1734/5, Smithfield, RI, (son of John Jenks and Rachel Lawrence) died Mar 19, 1827, S.
