John died Dec 9, 1771, buried: Solebury Twp., Bucks Co., PA. Quaker - "kept out of sight until Sep 3, 1740 when overseers of Buckingham Meeting "gave account that John Hough III has been very disorderly in his conversation, being charged by a young woman as being the father of his child, also that he has left these parts at present". All through the year of 1741 he was treated with, but finally disowned Jan 4, 1742. For one reason or another, he married the girl, possibly before his disownment (Hannah Townsend).

Burial in Michigan City, IN just across from Aunt Maud, Uncle Bill, Keeny and Louise Jenks.
