Their farm was almost directly across the road from Ida and Ernest's farm. Fredrich: Brough Pidde family to the US in 1883.

When in Germany, a Prussian soldier wanted to marry her, but she didn't want to marry him. Her parents sent her on an immigration ship to America where she stayed in WI with some of her Hien relatives in Union. Friedrich: Kanown as Ernest F. or Ernest Fred. Came to the US in 1875 with his parents to Lebanon, WI
