They then moved to Plymouth VT, where he was the 4th settler of the town, known then as Saltash. His first home was a log cabin at the head of Lake Amherst, not far from where the soldiers camped during the Revolution on their way to Crown Point. Is probably Louisa O. age 32 in 1865 census. All Tioga Co. records have her as Louisa O. Daniel: listed as living with Calvin in 1855 (age 32) and son age 8. Built the Jenksville Steam Mill in 1879 for sawing lumber and threshing grain. In the fall of 1882, the steam grist mill was built by Jenks and Nixon (a name found in the Speedsville Cemetery records).

In the fall of 1882, the steam grist mill was built by Jenks and Nixon (a name found in the Speedsville Cemetery records).
