1. Carl Frederick Brown born 1830, West Prussia, Germany, married Caroline (?). Arrived May 22, 1865 in New York from Berman, Germany on the ship "Adler", and went to Cleveland, OH. In Ohio, they changed the family name to Brown because Cleveland was a large German community. It is told that originally the name was spelled "Bruin", but it also could have been "Bruhm".

William died Feb 14, 1935, Muskegon Heights, MI, buried: Ludington, MI. Came to America when he was 6 years old (1866) with parents. Original name was Carl William but changes it to William Carl because there was another Carl William in Ludington Julia: Not in another genealogy.

Elizabeth died Oct 3, 1963, Niagara, WI. Henry: Emigrated in 1903 from Antwerp, Belgium on the SS Finland. He went to lower MI where he had relatives. He was naturalized on Oct 4, 1913 in Marinette, WI as "Anthonissen", apparently the family original name.
