2.    Robert Bowman (1.Richard1) married 1544, in Allston Field Church, England, Ellen Crychlow, died 1590.  Robert died 1590.

                      Children:

Third Generation

 

3.    Richard Bowman (2.Robert2, 1.Richard1) baptized: 1546, married (?).

                      Children:

       +4.     i    John Bowman.

 

Fourth Generation

 

4.    John Bowman (3.Richard3, 2.Robert2, 1.Richard1) baptized: 1578, Parwock, England, married Ann Beresford, born Parwick, England.

                      Children:

       +5.     i    Nathaniel Bowman born c. 1605.

 

Fifth Generation

 

5.    Nathaniel Bowman (4.John4, 3.Richard3, 2.Robert2, 1.Richard1) born c. 1605, England, married Anne (Anna) (?), born England.  Nathaniel died Jan 26, 1681/2, Cambridge, MA.  He and his wife came in Winthrop's fleet .  He was one of  the first founders of Watertown, MA; his name is also in Lexington and Cambridge records. Anne: She also arrived in Winthrop's Fleet

6.    Francis Bowman (5.Nathaniel5, 4.John4, 3.Richard3, 2.Robert2, 1.Richard1) born 1630, married Sep 26, 1661, in Watertown, MA, Martha Sherman, born Feb 21, 1640/1, (daughter of John Sherman and Martha Palmer) died Feb 9, 1700.  Francis died Dec 16, 1687, Watertown, MA.  Martha: Sherman says she was born Feb 21, 1641.  She is also called Martha Palmer and was a granddaughter of Governor Winthrop

       +7.     i    Nathaniel Bowman born Feb 9, 1668/9.

          8.     ii    Francis Bowman born 1662, Lexington, MA, married Lydia Stone, born 1665, (daughter of Samuel Stone and Sarah Stearns) died 1719, Lexington. MA.  Francis died 1744, Lexington, MA.

7.    Nathaniel Bowman (6.Francis6, 5.Nathaniel5, 4.John4, 3.Richard3, 2.Robert2, 1.Richard1) born Feb 9, 1668/9, Watertown, MA, married Dec 16, 1692, Anne Barnard, born Aug 27, 1670, Watertown, MA, (daughter of John Barnard and Sarah Fleming) died Sep 16, 1757.  Nathaniel died June 30, 1748.

                      Children:

10.   Anna Bright (9.Anna8, 7.Nathaniel7, 6.Francis6, 5.Nathaniel5, 4.John4, 3.Richard3, 2.Robert2, 1.Richard1) born Feb 27, 1715/6, Watertown, MA, married July 16, 1736, in Lexington, MA, Daniel Brown, born Dec 21, 1703, Watertown MA, (son of Joseph Brown and Ruhannah (Ruhamah) Wellington) occupation Tithingman, Assessor, died Feb 26, 1796, Plymouth VT, buried: Plymouth Notch Cemetery.  Anna died Jan 18, 1780, Lunenberg MA.

                      Children:

          11.    i    Nathaniel Bowman Brown born July 1, 1737, Lexington MA, married Feb 7, 1765/6, Abigail Page, born Sep 15, 1744/5, Bedford MA, (daughter of Cornet Nathaniel Page and Hannah Blanchard) died Aug 5, 1799, Plymouth VT, buried: Plymouth Notch Cemetery.  Nathaniel died July 30, 1806, Plymouth VT, buried: Plymouth Notch Cemetery.  One of 12,000 Minute Men - fought in battle of Bennington. He resided in Lexington, MA until 1722, when he moved to Lunenburg, MA, where they remained for 17 years.  They then moved to Plymouth VT, where he was the 4th settler of the town, known then as Saltash.  His first home was a log cabin at the head of Lake Amherst, not far from where the soldiers camped during the Revolution on their way to Crown Point. The post office was in his house, the first town meetings and church were also held there. DAR 22684

          17.    vii  Esther Brown born Aug 12, 1744, Lexington, MA, married Nathaniel Tottingham.

          18.    viii  Martha Brown born Jun 18, 1749, Lexington, MA, married Z. Brown.

          19.    ix   John Brown born Aug 12, 1751, Lexington, MA.

          20.    x    Hannah Brown born Apr 14, 1754, Lexington, MA, married Nathaniel Gibson, born 1753, died 1824.  Hannah died 1789.

          21.    xi   Mary Brown born May 5, 1758, Lexington, MA, married Abraham Gibson, born 1752, died 1829.
