It's about Kate, of course, in her early days. Cathy and I figured out the hard way that once we had two, we had to let the other know who was watching which child. Whenever one of us thought the other was, it was trouble.
However, this one was just Kate crawling up the steps to watch me get changed out of my Air Force uniform. Although written when she was almost two, the event was from the year before, when she couldn't walk, yet was mobile enough to be dangerous.
It was also written months before we knew she was autistic.
