Dear Mom and Dad, 14

By Christmas, Cathy and I should have all the amenities of
the good life: a kid, a VCR, each other's company, steady jobs, and now a home in the heart of the country. Cathy's
falling for a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2 car garage place on the outskirts of San
Angelo. She took some Polaroids of it for me. Big help that I am, I said,
"Go for the gusto." It even has a lawn and fireplace to tend to. Who
could ask for anything more? You may ask yourself, "Can they afford
that?" Good question. My answer is, "Probably."
Here are some pictures from Memorial Day Weekend and July
4th week.

I'm running a flea market tomorrow for the Company Grade
(Junior) Officers' Council. At this point, I just want it to be over with. I
volunteered to be project officer for a few reasons, not the least of which is
the "face time" it would give me with different offices on base.
Hopefully, this will help me make my mark at Pease, because the two biggest
lessons I learned from it are that I'm not a good delegater and I'm not good on
the phone. I've done about 75% of the preparation for the flea market myself
and snapped out at two people over the phone who I thought were giving me
shitful support. (They were, but it isn't considered very professional for an
officer to say, "What is this? You're screwing me!") I'll keep you
posted, but at this point, I don't care how successful it is, as long as it's
over by this time tomorrow.

Amen. The flea market is over. Made $165 for CGOC
charities. Made a third of that from one customer, a crazy black evangelist
bargain hunter. It was an interesting day.
Cathy's closing on the house I mentioned in the first
paragraph. She should be moving in by the middle or end of August. The address
is 1033 Cricket Lane, San Angelo, TX 76905. Hopefully, the road isn't named for
its inhabitants, or we'll never get any sleep.
