Moses JOHNSON - b: abt 1802 PA, d: 23 Oct 1868 Canton, Lewis Co, MO.   m: 17 Dec 1829 Stark Co, OH, Nancy DAVIS b: abt 1812 Mercersburg, Franklin Co, PA, d: bet. 1881 and 1892, dau of John DAVIS and Elizabeth BREIDENTHAL.  Moses is supposed to be of Scottish descent.  In the 1850 census, they were in Chippewa Twp, Wayne Co, OH.  He was a toolmaker.  On the  picture of Moses, it states that there is a Will in Eldora, MO for 1868 for him, but I found it in Canton.  In a letter written in 1845 by Henry Davis to his sister Rachel, he says "Moses Johnson family are alright, Nancy still has the fits as bad as ever".  In Mathias Davis's bio, (Nancy's brother), it states she was still living and assuming that she lived nearby as he didn't refer to her as living in another state.  Moses divorced Nancy and sent money to her brother Mathias to take care of her.  He then married 2nd sometime after 1850 and before 1860,  Rachael Kissinger born abt 1825 OH, dau of Jacob KISSINGER and Catherine DAVIS (Nancy's sister).   The pictures are of Moses & Nancy.
