Suffolk, England, and died
June 13, 1659 in Salem, Essex, Massachusetts.

born in England, and died

Know ye whom it may Concerne that I John Procter., 
Senr of Salem, in Essex, in
N=England, Yeoman, being of a Sound mind. Do now make 
my Last Will & Testament,
in Manner & forme following:
Item primis! I Bequeath my Imortall Soule unto God in 
the Merits of the Lord
Jesus; & My-Body unto Decent Buriale at "the" 
Discretion of my Executor:
hereafter Named; and then Dispose of my Earthly Goods 
wch God hath Bountifully
Given me, thus: Viz my Debts are payed.

I Will and Bequeathe an Equale proportion of my whole 
estate, when justly
valued, unto Each one of my Children. my two Eldest 
Sons shall have all my Land.
Into their shares; and what the Land may be valued at 
more than their, my two
Eldest Sons Equal portions, they my two Sons shall pay 
unto the Pest of my
Children; and they my two Sons, Viz: Benjamin Procter 
& John Procter junr I Do
hereby Confirmto and Appointe to be my Lawfulle 
Executors.

Note: Between the writing of the original will and 
John Procter's trial, his
sons Benjamin and William were also arrested for 
witchcraft. The (obvious)
addition to the will, in Procter's own hand, was an 
afterthought. The horizontal
line drawn across the will, after the word "payed", 
was by Procter's own quill.

present saw the within Subscriber John Procter sign 
Seale the within Instrument

Fowler and this deponent did then subscribe as 
witnesses thereunto.

Massachusetts, daughter of WILLIAM
BUCKLEY and SARAH SMITH.  She was born Abt. 1664, and 
died November 05, 1748.

WILSON and ELIZABETH COOK.  He
died May 1761 in Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts.
