Notes for Lemuel Hatch: Member of Provincial Congress from Craven County, NC on Aug 25, 1774. Prov Congress met at Halifax, NC Apr 4, 1776, Lemuel Hatch representing Craven County. Field officers appointed for each County -Craven- Lt Col Lemuel Hatch. (History Sketches of NC, Wheeler) Listed as Patriot, DAR Patriot Index for Patriotic Service. Descendants eligible for Membership DAR & SAR. Mentioned in father Anthony's will dtd 8/1/1726 as Lamb. His will dtd April 2, 1774, proved Feb 3, 1777 mentions wife Mary, sons Lemuel, John, Edmund, Durant, Asa, Ivy, Anthony, daus Elizabeth and Mary, all childen under age. Nov 1776 appoints Frederick Fonvielle as Executor with sons Lemuel and John. In John Fonvielle's (father of wife Mary) will dtd 1773, he mentions son Frederick and daughter Mary Hatch. Several deeds name Lemuel as John Fonvielle's son-in-law.
