NOTE WRITTEN BY P.L.SENN, ON FILE. "My Grandfather was Enos Clark of Connecticut Came to Charlestown with a Circus, & was a drummer in the band. Grandmother was Sara Grice of Edgefield, brother's name was Amos Grice who ran hotel in Edgefield. Grandpa C. served in 3 wars: Mexican War, Florida Indian War, & 4 yrs in the Civil War, & did not get a scratch, but lost two sons in the Civil War. He was 86 yrs. old when he died & buried @@ Good Spring. Grandmother 84 yrs. old & buried @@ Good Spring." (Confederate war records show he died on 26 Jun 1887. 2ND PAGE OF NOTE OF P.L.SENN "Dolphus Redd married Eliza Clark. Janie Clark Senn's sister(my mother). Samuel Redd & Dolphus were brothers. Don't remember who Sam.R. married, but there were no children. Lucius Redd married Charlsie Clark, Janie Clark Senn's sister. Hicks Redd & Lucius Redd were 1/2d bros.to Samuel & Dolphus. Only one child of Hicks Redd living, who is Data Redd & she lives at Gloverville; Walter Redd is Hicks Redd's son(don't think he's living)."
