 | The commotion woke Gribb up. "Huh? What's going on here?" he muttered, but by then, Grenna and the Norns had reached the garden. |
 | When he finally figured out that everyone was escaping, Gribb started running after them.
"Uh, oh! What are we going to do?" the Norns wondered. As the Grendel got closer everyone began to panic. The last thing they wanted was a Grendel in Albia. The Grendel reached the bottom of the vine and started heading toward the Norns! |
 | Zap! The stranger zapped the Grendel with a ray gun and turned him into a statue. The old stranger was a very nice Norn. He even brought Bessie the cow back for Jack's family. |
 | "What a relief," sighed Grenna. |
 | "Now I believe in magic!" said Jack's mother. "I'm so glad we got all our treasures back, especially you, dear," she said with a smile to her husband. |
 | "Hoooray! We're free!" shouted all the Norns. " Let's have a party to celebrate. " |
 | Grenna was the happiest of all because as the guest of honor she didn't have to do any cooking.
