Cemetery" South of French Broad, later relocated to Union Church Cemetery,
Cocke County,TN - Ref "TVA Douglas Reservoir Cemetery Reinternment, Final
Report Feb. 1943. DOD given as 1849, lived 67y (calculates to DOB Dec1781).
"The Virginia Genealogist", Vol 20, No 3,p 183; has Cithia and George with at
least 1 child, named George, stating he moved to Shannon County, MO in 1867 but
returned to Tennessee after one year. This has not been verified; the same
article has George dying before his wife Sophia with her moving to Shannon
County, MO for a few years before returning to TN. Grave marking in the LaRue
cemetery show Sophia age 67 died in 1849, and George age 83 died in 1856. Other
unidentified LaRue grave markers are: James C. age 1 d 1851, Martha E. age 4 mo
d 1846, John age 21 d 1827, William "unk", and Francis age 37 d 1847. John and
Francis may have been children of George and Sophia/Cithia.
"Cocke County, Tennessee - Cemetery Records", "Dutch Bottoms Union Church
Cemetery", published 1972; shows a George Larew lived 83y 4mo 8d, died 8 Dec
1856 (calculates to birth on 4 Apr 1773), and Sophia consort of George Larew
lived 67y 4mo 22d, died 26 Apr 1849 (calculates to birth on 4 Dec 1781). It is
noted the Cemetery record agrees with the birth date for Sophia in the Inman
Bible.
