[Baird] and son James Chilton (1796-1858) m Jane Langdon branch in the 1970's.
The movements of T.L. (Thomas Langdon Chilton) are not definite, but his
location at different times has been determined. He married 1st Elizabeth K.
Hale in 1849 at Greene Co, TN, and their 2 children were born in Tennessee. He
married 2nd Mary Jones in 1857 at Franklin County, TN. He was in Franklin Co in
1860 when a QCD regarding his father James was signed. His son Joshua Lindsey
was born in Kaufman County, Texas in 1863.
T.L. enlisted in the Civil War in the 2nd Regiment Cavalry, Texas State Troops,
Co. G, on Sept. 2, 1863, as a private for 6 months. He enrolled again on March
15, 1864 for the duration of the war. He was a 2nd Lieutenant in Company H. He
moved to Arkansas after the Civil War where their daughter Sara Jane was born
in 1866. Their last son William Joseph was born in Ash Flat, Arkansas in 1869.
He was in Denton County, Texas around 1871 then to Wichita Co, Texas in 1881
where he farmed for several years before moving to Oklahoma before 1888 and
later to Arizona about 1899 and died there in 1910.
