Needlework guilds are a wonderful way to share the love of stitching with others.  Many of these guilds offer excellent opportunities with lectures and workshops.  Several also publish very good magazines and/or newsletters.

The Embroiderer's Guild of America
The Embroiderer's Guild of America (EGA) is one of the largest needlework groups in the country.  EGA has more than 20,000 members, and over 350 chapters across the United States and Canada, as well as members-at-large. The chapters are grouped within 13 regions.

Sampler Guilds
Sampler Guilds have no national organization like EGA.  As of now there are 28 known sampler guilds in the U.S.A.   Since there is no national organization, each guild takes on its own character.  There is also one sampler guild in Canada.
