Mother Hall, known to many as "BB, Poopsie, Jean, or just plain Barbara Hall" was a faithful member of The Free Evangelistic Church for thirty years. Mother Hall's trademark was her beautiful gray hair. If you had to find her, all you had to do was look for her hair. She was soft spoken and quiet, but her words were words of much wisdom, fire, and love. Mother Hall was from the old school and she never strayed from that. Many times, the Lord would greatly use our Mother Hall to expound his words. Every time she was called to speak on the Radio Broadcast, no matter how she felt, whatever trial or tribulation, even if she was informed five minutes before the broadcast, she would humbly smile and do whatever the Lord would have her to do. The Lord also used her on the Television Broadcast Panels. We knew if we could not depend on anyone else, we could depend on Barbara Hall. The last message Mother Barbara preached was, "No matter what the will of God is, stay in his (God's) perfect will for your life. No matter what it looks like, how it may seem, it will work out." She used the example of her hair and how she tried to change the style, etc., but nothing ever worked out and God wanted her to keep her hair the way it was, the way he wanted it. She knew the style she had was his perfect will. The message of the hour, "FOR YOUR LIFE STAY IN THE PERFECT WILL OF GOD." Mother Hall was an Herbalist and she began to inform individuals on the proper care of their bodies, the cleansing and rebuilding of their systems with the use of various natural herbs, etc. She was in the process of setting up an office in the church. She was very proud of her recent achievements in this field. There were many individuals within the church and outside of the church who counseled with her. Mother Hall was a member of The Freedom Echoes Choir, now known as the Voices of Love, she was on the Mother's Board. Mother Hall was a member of the Pastor's Aide Committee, now known as the FEC Armor Bearers, a member of the Women's Auxiliary, and a member of the Missionary's Club (which was known for going out in their black and white). She was faithful in all the auxiliaries she was a member of. Mother Hall was married to the late Min. Michael Hall, Sr., and he called her his "Honey." They had a special love for each other and that love continued even when Min. Michael went home to be with the Lord. Mother Hall would cook for the Young Adults gatherings from time to time. Mother Hall was a second mother, a good friend, and a buddy to many in the church. She was loved and respected by the members in the church and many on her job, etc. She prayed for everyone, not wanting any to be lost.
