MATHER.-On the 8th inst., Mrs. MARY ANN MATHER, wife of JOHN MATHER.

The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from the residence of her husband, in Radnor township, Delaware county, on Friday morning, the 11th inst., at 10 o'clock.


ARMSTRONG.-On the 7th inst., after a short illness, Mrs. MARTHA ARMSTRONG, wife of GEORGE H. ARMSTRONG.

The friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited toattend her funeral, from the residence of her husband, 1415 Lombard street, on Friday afternoon, at one o'clock, without further notice. To proceed to Odd-Fellows' Cemetery.


CREASE.-On the 7th inst., WILLIAM G. CREASE, in the 53rd year of his age.

The relatives and friends of the family, and Robert Morris Lodge, No. 29, I. O. of O. F., the Humane Hose Company, No. 4, and Perseverance Beneficial Society, are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from his late residence, No. 207 North Third street, on Friday afternoon, the 11th inst., at 2 o'clock.


ZIMMERLING.-On the 8th instant, CHARLES ZIMMERLING, SR.

Due notice of the funeral will be given.


HOWETT.-On the morning of the 7th inst., HENRY C. HOWETT, in the 21st year of his age.

The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral, from the residence of his brother, T. M. HOWETT, No. 1613 Brown street. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, on Thursday morning, at 10 o'clock.

You will please take notice that upon the application of EMMANUEL ARNOLD, one of the said heirs, to the Orphans' Court of Schuylkill County; setting forth that the said ANSEL ARNOLD died seized in hisdemeane as of fee of and in all that the one-sixth part, and the one-seventh part of one-eighth part of all that certain tract of Coal land, in the county of Schuylkill, bounded by lands surveyed to THOMAS DUNDAS, the CHRISTIAN DESHONG, JACOB MILLER and Stroh's Improvement, and others, being the same tract of land surveyed on warrant to JOHN BRETZIUS, and patented to GEORGE RAHN, by Patent dated the 7th day of July, A. D. 1829, containing 299 acres, 145 perches, and allowance, and praying the said Court for a Writ of Partition or valuation to make partition of the said interests in the said tract of land.

The sale Court awarded the said writ on the 9th day of September, 1864; and I, the said Sheriff of Schuylkill County, in pursuance of the said writ, to me directed, have appointed Friday, the 18th day of November next, for the holding of the inquisition, on the premises, in Riley Township, Schuylkill County, where you may attend, if you see proper.

ARRIVAL OF THE KEARSARGE

LIST OF HER OFFICERS

Boston, Nov. 8 - The U.S. steamship Kearsarge, which arrived late last night, has as passengers W W WILLIAMS, asistant paymaster of the U. S. steamer Wachusett, bearer of dispatches, detailing the circumstances attending the capture of the pirate Florida, in the port of Bahia, Brazil. She also brings, as prisoners of war, the chief engineer and waterman of the Alabama, and the surgeon and sixteen men of the Florida.

The Kearsarge left St. Thomas on the evening of the 31st ult. The Wachusett was in port, waiting for coals, and the Florida was outside. She also left there the ship James Chestod, and the bark Adeline C. Adams. The former, 133 days from Rangoon, put into port in distress, with her crew down with the scurvy. She was also supplied with nineteen men from the Kearsarge, and would sail in a day or two for New York.

MULLER; Henry McCONNELL; acting master's mates, Charles H. DANFORTH, E. BARTLETT, William SMITH, and J. F. BIRKFORD.
