DEATH OF A SOLDIER

The death of SAMUEL GRINDER, Co. C, 39th P.V., at the Pittsburg Hospital, was reported yesterday.

DESERTIONS

The desertion of the following-named soldiers from army hospitals were reported yesterday at the Medical Director's office:

Filbert-street Hospital: William COLGO, Co. D, 183d P.V.; Otis KEIR, Co. E., 6th New Jersey; Frederick NOONGEISER. Co. B., 95th P.V.

McClellan Hospital: Andrew J. BROWN, Co. L., 2d Penna. Cavalry.

Chester Hospital: James F. NORRIS, Co. C, 188th P.V.

White Hall Hospital: Peter FLYNN, Co. G, 18th Massachusetts.

RETURNED FROM DESERTIONS

John SHUTER, Co. C, 98th N.Y. Vols., has returned from desertion.


DIED

JONES - On the 5th inst., Edward T. JONES, in the 29th year of his age.

The relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral, from the residence of his father, Augustus C. JONES, Market street, west of Forty-second, on Thursday afternoon at two o'clock.


WILLIAMSON - On the 5th inst., Isabel J., wife of Robert S. WILLIAMSON..

Due notice will be given of the funeral.


BEACH - Dec. 4th, 1864, at the residence of her son-in-law, J. Emerson KENT, M.D., 2100 Green-street, Mrs. Hester BEACH, aged 75 years. Interment at Staten Island.

Funeral service on Wednesday, at 11:30 A.M., as above. The friends of the family invited.

GROVES - On Monday morning, the 5th inst., Susan M. GROVES, youngest daughter of the late Anthony GROVES, Sr.

The relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral, from her mother's residence, No. 1334 North Thirteenth street, on Wednesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, without further notice.

JONES - On the 3d instant, David JONES, in the 72d year of his age.

The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral, from his late residence, Fox Chase, Delaware county, on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. To proceed to Lower Merion Baptist Church.

BEWLEY - On the 3d inst., Albert G. BEWLEY, in the 29th year of his age.

His relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from the residence of his father, Isaac BEWLEY, No 410 North Eleventh street, on Fourth-day (Wednesday), the 7th inst., at 1 P.M. To proceed to Cedar Hill Cemetery, near Frankford.

LUKENS - On the 3d instant, Ann, wife of the late Isaac LUKENS, in the 54th year of her age.

The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend her funeral, from her late residence, No. 1335 Parrish street, on Wednesday morning at 8 o'clock. To proceed to Boehm's Church, Montgomery county, Pa.
