CIVIL OFFICES ON ODUS
Civil offices are open to all Patricians who seek election or appointment.

The Consul is the ultimate authority within the civil government, with the power to overturn the decision of any other government office. Elected by a majority vote of the Senate, he has the authority to oversee the overall operation of the guild and to serve as representative of the guild's foreign interests. The Consul has command of the army should one ever be raised. He presides over official policy meetings of the Senate and appoints the Quaestor, Censor, and Aedile.

The Praetor is the highest law official of Odus. It is his responsibility to administer the laws set forth by the Senate and the policies set forth by the Consul through trial. In the event of the trial of a Patrician, the Praetor shall preside over the Senate. He may appoint, at his discretion, lesser officials called magistrates to help administer the law. The Praetor is elected by the Senate and is considered the second-highest office of Odus.

The Senate is a small law-making group, elected by the citizens of Odus, that creates all the official laws and policies of Odus. Their responsibilities include the election of the Consul and Praetor, meeting to conduct policy debates, and serving as a jury in the event of the trial of a Patrician.

CONSUL-APPOINTED OFFICES ON ODUS
The following offices are granted by appointment of the Consul and work together to affect the operation of the guild on a day-to-day basis.

The Censor takes induction reports from all officers whenever a new member is admitted, using this information to create and maintain lists of guild members along with their social status, brief history (as pertinent), awards receieved, citizenship, and any other important information.

The Quaestor is the chief financial minister of the High Keepers of Odus. Working with the Censor's lists, he maintains guild finances to fund events with the Aedile.

The Aedile is the event master. It is his responsibility to think up, organise, and lead (or delegate leadership of) all guild events. He is largely responsibile for guild morale.

PRAETOR-APPOINTED OFFICES ON ODUS
The Praetor hold the authority, at his discretion, to appoint lesser officials called magistrates, either permanently or temporarily, to assist in the administration of guild law. Their power relies entirely upon his authority and how much he wills to delegate to them.
